Always love to stop in to Sturgismotorsports! All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Even when I come in without any specific item or vehicle that I am interested in, they are always happy to chat if not busy with customers. When I am looking for something specific the have always gone the extra mile to help me select what will best fill my needs (wants :-) ) Test rides have never been any problem and I've always been treated well. First, I never write a review till now! My experience was such that I feel compelled to tell all. I checked to see if my bike (2013 R1200R) qualified for a warranty on a failed fuel level strip. They informed me that it was, ordered the part and made an appointment. (I had not bought the bike or had service there before) So I was quite happy! Now the amazing part! I had brought the bike with as little fuel in the tank as I could because of the work they would be doing, not wanting to make it any harder for the technician than need be. Totally prepared to go across the street to get gas to make it back home, imagine my surprise to find they filled my tank!!! No way BMW Warranty covers that! I have never been treated like that, certainly not in the last few years when it seems like I cant hardly even buy service!! Outstanding!! I look forward to dealing with them again!!!! Stopped in to look around at all the great inventory. I spotted a 2007 Yamaha FJR 1300 AE with only 3,443 miles. Anthony was so helpful in letting me take it for a ride. I just had to add it to my Indian garage. I know what? Gotta give credit where credit is due. Amazing ride. Dealership is a sister store to Indian Motorcycle Sturgis. What more can I say. I recently purchased a Kodiak 700 EPS and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. I had been to a few other dealerships in the town just east of Sturgis. Once I made it clear that I had a finite amount of cash to spend and the "out the door" price couldn't be any more than that, every person I spoke to treated me like I was an inconvenience. Live and learn. Years before, Sturgis Motorsports repaired my Kodiak 450 and treated me very well. I should have made this my first stop but didn't think I could afford a Yamaha. After speaking with Jake, I was surprised to find they could get the Kodiak 700 EPS into my price range. Right away Jake asked if I wanted him to pull strings and get the machine set up that day. I told him it was ok to take their time. I went to pick the machine up the next day. From the moment I walked into the building, every person I came in contact with treated me like they knew me all my life. Every person there was very knowledgeable and polite. I felt they really appreciated my business. They have a large inventory and I would recommend Sturgis Motorsports to everyone. I know they will be my first stop for any future atv needs.

I was on the final leg of a 6,800 mile trip to the Portland area and back to OK and needed new tires and an oil change on my RT. Andrew in Service was able to work me in the very next day. I was in and out with two new tires and fresh oil in less than two hours. This allowed me to continue on my journey with little interruption and not a huge expense. My son rides a 2013 Suzuki Blvd. Boss C90T. He s a teacher and has the summers off- so, he decided to ride from Boston Mass -coast to coast - then up to Oregon - to Washington and them meet me in Sturgis, SD. When we met, his new bike then had a bout 12,000 miles on it - se we decided to get a new tire. Called several dealers - and finally reached Brandon at Sturgis. He didn't have the tire but could order it for.me and have it there on Tuesday or Wednesday. The other dealer had the tire - but would not make an appointment to put it on (and we certainly understood) We were headed back on Wednesday AM - and the tire arrived around 10 AM. Our bags were packed. Then the service manager Randy, knowing that we had been there for three days said, let's get in in - and get you guys on the way. Bike was done soon after, we were very happy with the service, the welcome and the price. It' just nice to know that there are still dealers out there that do all the ycna to take care of travelling motorcycle riders. So, I wanted to show my appreciation and post this review. Thanks guys. So yesterday we dropped by the BMW dealership, Sturgis Motorsports, in Sturgis, South Dakota. I had a broken face shield on my Nolan N102 helmet. I needed to buy a new shield. But failing that I intended to buy a helmet if I had to. Voni inquired at the parts counter and they didn't have the face shield I needed in stock so I started looking at helmets. While I was trying on helmets the chief parts and accessory guy - name not gotton, sorry - came over to see if I needed help. He noticed my helmet sitting on the floor and asked if that was an N102. I said yes. He said he could fix me up. He verified in his catalog that he could still order a replacement, and proceeded to take the shield off a new helmet and install it on mine. He didn't need to do that. He knew I would buy a helmet. I told him so. But he took care of me. We left with the shield mounted, a spare chain for my F650, a pair of new gloves, and still spent less than a helmet was going to cost me. I've had a reoccurring clutch problem with my 2009 R1200GS Adventure. After a few hours of highway driving, the clutch became "spongy" and wouldn't fully work. I was just entering South Dakota when this occurred for the 2nd time in 2 years. My hometown BMW dealer was unable to diagnose or suggest any solution other than letting it cool down. I contacted the Sturgis BMW dealer; John from service diagnosed and solved the problem on the spot! (air bubbles coalescing in the mineral oil clutch fluid at high temperature/from vibration: with bike off and upright, turn handlebars fully right to raise clutch reservoir as high as possible - pull in and quickly release clutch lever repeatedly, sending shock waves into the fluid, eventually floating the bubble up to the clutch reservoir. WORKED TERRIFICALLY and still troublefree 1800 miles later!) I was going to have them service the bike the next day when I arrived, but they said it wasn't necessary, as they would just do what they had instructed me to do. I didn't spend any $ on service with them, but bought 3 T-shirts, a new Nelson Rigs bag, BMW cap & aftermarket highway pegs! My diagnosis: GREAT guys who helped me out, asking for nothing in return; any BMW/Yamaha guys out Sturgis way should stop by and spend some $ with these folks!

I bought a 1998 Honda Shadow 1100. Eric was extremely friendly and personable. They had no problem getting the bike out of the showroom for a test ride. Even though the bike happened to be in the middle of the middle row of bikes in the showroom. Eric took me on a pleasent ride and everyone in the store was very friendly. I will reccomend them to all my friends and anyone I meet who is in the market. I will be going there again, they are just great.

Hello Dick, Pat, and staff, Just an update. I am still REALLY enjoying the V-Strom you recommended to me. We did a lot of boat traveling this summer and fall, so I didn't have the opportunity to ride much, but I have been rectifying that since we've been home in south Texas. We will head out with the RV soon and will be taking the V-Strom along. As you know, we've owned a lot of bikes over the years (23 at last count), and this bike rates right at the top for easy and fun. I came across an accessory recently that has added to the comfort and just wanted to pass that along, in case it's something you want to carry. The only complaint I had with the V-Strom was the narrow diameter grips... I added a set of Grip Puppies that slide on over the OEM grips. What a difference! WAY more comfortable, less effort required to hold the throttle at speed, the bike "feels" bigger, and women find me even more attractive. I was on vacation in the Hills and had a flat tire in the middle of nowhere (Nemo area) I was rescued by someone local there ( long story awesome folks) Anyway we trailered my R* to the dealer for a new tire. I was ready for the worst (pricing or out of stock) and got the best. I was taken care of quickly. I was shocked at their cost for tire change ( very low) and the discount for the tire and tube. On July 27 I came in to the shop with a strange noise on my 2008 Yamaha Venture. I was very pleased to find out that the problem was not serious and that they would take care of it. I called Pat about a 2004 1150RT, he sent digital pictures within a half hour. Called him to tell him put a sold sign on it. Drove 1180 miles round trip the following Saturday to pick it up. He was patient and generous with his knowledge. Taught a 30 year airhead rider all the specifics. I'd buy from Sturgis Yamaha BMW again and again. My closest dealer is 295 miles from me but the extra 275 miles is worth it.

I limped in with a staple in my rear tire and although it took all day to get in and swapped, I got in! They have lots of parts available (it's bike week coming up, smart!) and the service staff were so calm and helpful. Like most places if you can call ahead, do so, but when the unexpected happens, they can probably sort you out! Only downer: no wifi so sitting there all day without planning with maps, I actually had to talk to someone! Silver lining: met a new friend and we rode together for a while after being made whole.

Wow. I've been to numerous BMW dealers across this continent but I have never had or expected such outstanding service as I have received here in Sturgis. I brought in my 02 K12RS on my latest cross country trip for brake lines, fork seals, and tires. The service rep was very professional and helped in every way he could under the circumstances, and the mechanic was extremely knowledgeable and passionate/obsessive on making sure that everything is functioning at its prime today and for the long haul. Four stars are for when everything goes good /as expected - this is what the fifth start is reserved for.

While on a four week cross-country trip from East Tennessee to the Pacific Northwest on my R1200RT my low beam bulb failed as I started the return trip. I found Sturgis Motorsports via Google search and called to ask if they could work me in to service to change the bulb the next day when I passed through Sturgis. When I arrived the service writer, Ken, remembered my call. They promptly took the RT to service and I was on my way in less than an hour. Awesome experience and very helpful people who understand unplanned maintenance while far from home. I highly recommend Sturgis Motorsports.
